This Norman Helmet with Aventail is crafted from thick, riveted plates of 16 gauge steel and fitted with a nasal bar of 12 gauge steel. The reinforced base of the helm is constructed from 11 gauge steel. The blackened interior of the helm is fitted with an adjustable leather suspension liner and a chinstrap with an adjustable brass buckle. The aventail of the helmet is of butted links of mail.
