This Late Roman Intercisa Helm is constructed from 18 gauge steel; the cheekplates and neck guard are hinged and integrated onto the helmet with riveted leather hinges.


The entirety of the inside of the helmet is lined with leather, as are the inside surfaces of the cheekplates and neck guard. The helmet also has an adjustable, internal leather suspension that can be tied to best fit the head. Two small steel rings are fitted to the cheekplates and these can be used to tie a chin strap in place - a leather cord for this purpose is included.
