Customized for the T.V. series Wanted: Dead or Alive (1958-1961), the Mare’s Leg rifle was carried by the iconic Steve McQueen. Today, the term “Mare’s Leg has become the generic term for any Model 92 Winchester style rifle that has a shortened stock and barrel.
