This replica of the 1908 Pattern Cavalry Sword has a blade of tempered high carbon steel; the blade has the recreated manufacture, inspection and issue markings from an original in the service of an Australian cavalry regiment. The guard and pommel are steel and the hard-molded plastic grip closely replicates the original ‘’Bakelite’’ grip. Bakelite was an early 20th century utility plastic.


Included with the sword is a durable all-steel scabbard.
