This Gjermundbu Viking helm is constructed from 14 gauge steel. The helm has been given a aged, battle-worn appearance by giving it a pitted, exterior texture and using dark oils to simulate darkening in the recesses. The interior of the helm is blackened and lined with an adjustable leather suspension liner and an adjustable leather chin strap with a brass buckle. The helm is finished with an aventail of butted, mild steel chainmail.
